Changing the World

Published by brian under Uncategorized

This world has been instituted with many dilemmas that us Americans must face sooner or later. One thing that I would change is the costs of everything. I have many dreams as a young student with, hopefully, a bright future. Schools, baseball programs and teams, basketball programs and teams, traveling all tend to inflate in price rapidly. This prevents a student athlete like me to become what I always have dreamed to become. I pray and pray that costs may deflate and that our world rise from where it lies now and may afford the necessities that make their families in a better habitual state. There is no doubt that our economy needs help, and there is also no doubt that many people are not in a position to afford the things their families need.

My Inaugauration Speech

Published by brian under Uncategorized

Thank you, Thank you. Citizens of America, today we are gathered for the making of history. I did not make history, We made history. With the help and support of my family and the citizens of America, I have made it here today at the summit of my eminence.

In a time of crisis, the world is in our hands. We the people must strive as one, and no diversity shall exist among us. Together we will build our economy and greaten our status. Our economy is in the hands of us, no one else. Partly for those who were too optimistic in the financial market. Mostly on the part of our goverment for allowing these financial institutions to create mortgages that were not affordable by most of middle-class America. Because of the housing boom and the inflated price of real estate, it allowed these financial institutions to get creative and most of all greedy to create mortgages to lenders and sublenders which eventually would fail. When the price of the real estate started to drop and people were locked into their high-variabled interest rate mortgages, they found themselves in an irreversible situation causing foreclosures and eventually the crash of the banking industry. There needs to be better government regulations to be sure that these institutions establish credible lending packages written by the underwriters that measure the households debt to income ratio. When the debt to income ratio does not meet certain requirements then the loan should NOT be given. Avarice and greed are the main components that our nation is in this recession. This recession is not just nationwide, but worldwide. And we will have to unite as one to rebuild this nation to the nations it once was and may be. Collaborative. Competitive. Cooperative.

We are a country of limitless diversities. Our barriers have been broken, and shall remain broken for the sake of our country. Our nation has been put through the worst of times and we have always come out on top. We have been established as a nation of equality. One who shares its strengths and builds off its weaknesses. We are at the summit of a hardship, but our past has proven us worthy for any challenge, and we must stand together and represent as we all are willing to do.

Let it be heard among all countries amongst the world, that the United States of America is one that is unprecedented. We will rise to the top. The disgraceful criminals that become satisfied of the fact that preying upon harmless citizens of our country and terrorizing our home will be thrown to the bottom. We will no longer stand for violence and the abhorrent terrorists. We are America, and America will DEFEAT you.

What Is The Most Powerful Thing You Can Say To A Person?

Published by brian under Uncategorized

Hmmmm?… The most powerful thing you can say to a person? I will say that it is a general compliment. Compliments are truly powerful to a person. This shows a person that you are paying attention to them, and it makes themselves feel better. It also makes yourself feel better that you are saying good about someone else. Would it not make sense that benefiting yourself and others is very powerful? I think so. However, if you think of very powerful statements or phrases, it could come down to many. Saying such words as, “I love you,” is very powerful. It should only be used if you really mean it. How often can you say you truly love someone? I couldn’t say, I have never experienced a love other than my family. Saying something so powerful has the authorization to truly hurt someone’s feelings in the end. Action may speak louder than words, but someone times words can speak louder than anything…Be careful what you may say.

Lewis and Clark Expedition

Published by brian under Uncategorized

The Lewis and Clark expedition was only the second true transcontinental crossing of North America north of Mexico by a person not of the indigenous people of America, having been preceded to the Pacific coast on July 20, 1793 by a Canadian expedition led by explorer Sir Alexander Mackenzie. Mackenzie had previously crossed North America in 1789 as well, but had turned north at the Continental Divide, also becoming the first European to reach the western Arctic Ocean.

New Year’s Resolution? What do I look for in a friend? Pets…

Many people create a New Year’s resolution. However, many people barely keep that resolution for a week’s time. This New Year I have not stated a resolution. However I have made some goals for myself. I am in eighth-grade this year, and high school is few steps away. I am applying for Choate, a very prominent school with a fantastic reputation. Hundreds apply, and many get rejected. My goal is to persevere through this long and drastic application in which is a truly amazing experience for me. I have put all my effort into this application and I have thought thoroughly the contents that I have written within my application. My hopes are high, but in my opinion at this moment, it is ok. I am confident of how I have done with the application, and if I do get rejected I will still be satisfied that I have received wonderful experience and a chance to express myself to the widely repute Choate facility. I have goals to complete this year with passion and fulfill my baseball season with my reputation to excel and be placed within eminence of all great baseball players to have ever came to my school. I have been very successful within my 8 years of schooling and I definitely plan to continue.

People claim that the meaning of friends are the people that are always there for you, but thats definitely not the reason. I always have fun with my friends and its great to be around them. When you are in a depression, it is great that they will be there for you. But as a young teenager I believe that many of us are in great positions. One of my greatest friends annoys me a lot but I still love him. We always have great times no matter what the situation may be, no matter where we are, or no matter what is happening. School is a great time to see him. How I found him was music. We both love Red Hot Chili Peppers, and thats how we met as I randomly was speaking of that the day we met. From there, I realized everything that we have so much in common. We have bonded a lot and it is awesome to be with him. All my friends are great to eachother, and we could be ourselves around each other.

Currently, I do not have any pets. I did have a fish, but after a duration of caring for the little guy, he died of age. That has been the only pet I had. I have many fish along with that one, but they also have died. I guess those kind of fish don’t live too long. But nothing else to say about pets, except I do enjoy dogs. More little ones, than big ones.

Millions of Gallons, Spilling…

Published by brian under Uncategorized

Half a dozen workers spend the morning working on a bursted pipe on the corner of Resevoir and Capitol avenues. The break occurred early at approximately 10:45 a.m. The probable causes says Public Utilites Director David Lohman are, “A combination of old age and the movement of the ground from the winter freeze.” 50 homes and businesses are left without water. Three pumps are continuously pouring water into this large crater to keep it accessible.  The break is so serious its reduction is more than half of Meriden’s water pressure. Almost 5 million gallons drain while workers patch the broken pipe.

What a New Year…09′ Baby!!

Published by brian under Uncategorized

It was a very exciting New Year for me. Yes, usually the normal format of an exciting New Year’s would be a jubilant party with some celebration types. However, I didn’t party until way into the year 2009. I got a call at about 6:30 to come work for my boss. From that time on, I shoveled forty houses, sidewalks and walkways. I didn’t finish until 12:30 in 2009. We celebrated New Year’s together. When I got home, it was just two of my brothers and me. When there were no pizza places or chinese places that were opened or delivered at 2:00 in the morning, what went from there was like no other. And can also not be shared.

A lot of memories from 2008 will stay memories, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make 2009 all the better. To start off, we go for the New York Giants for the divisional playoffs against the Eagles. Lets Go Baby!

Some goals are just to become the best baseball player my town has ever seen. To be prominent in my sport and from here on out lead to great success doing what I love.
